What is the Cost of the Investment and what does it include?
The Total Franchise Fee which includes your Equipment and practically everything you need to get started is $25,000 the next few paragraphs give you the breakdown:
An Average Joe's Gym franchise is $8,000(USD) this includes use of our nationally recognized trademark "Average Joe's Gym" as your mark of identification, Franchisor's Turn Key Business Systems, Local and National Market Media Blitz ,Initial Corporate Classroom Training, Continuous Online Development Resources, Our One on One Mentoring Program, Advertising / Public Relations Support and Procedural Opening Support.
The price of the Equipment for our "Total Body Cross-Train System" is $17000(USD) which includes shipping. These fees includes basically everything you need to open and run your new business, all your training, ongoing support and more: 8 hydraulic-machines, a boxing bag and stand, 4-recovery stations with a medicine ball, music and cue CD's, heart-rate monitor and stretching charts, ring motif, body-fat tester, a starter pack of master copy forms, operating manual, which is explained in depth in our Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC). Not much other overhead is needed except for basic necessities like a desk, phone, stereo, copier, etc. Average Joe's Gym does provide additional, "optional" equipment packages (to add to your already "total-body circuit") as an incentive to your members, when you decide the time is right.
What are the Monthly Royalty Fees?
Average Joe's Gym charges a monthly royalty fee of $295(USD) which begins on the third month after you have opened. This is to help you build your membership base and establish your new business. Additional National Television Advertising monthly fee upon commencement (not currently being implemented, explained in UFOC).
Average Joe's Gym does NOT take a percentage of your income!
What are the Steps to Opening an Average Joe's Gym Franchise?
1. You have already taken the first step by reading and learning this document.
2. After reading this "entire" document and you feel like you can make an "informed decision" click on the link at the top or bottom of this page and complete the "Online Pre-Qualification Application". An AJG representative will be contacting you; if you wish to talk to someone sooner, either call the numbers below or send an email to the address below.
3. One of our representatives will tell you how or if you should start looking for a location, you desire to secure. If your pre-qualification application is approved; you will be recommended to begin looking for space to lease for your new club [recommended lease space 1500 - 2000 sq. ft.]. We will evaluate the territory/location you have decided on before you sign a lease - Corporate must approve before you can sign any lease agreement.
4. If you are approved you will receive a "Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC)" which has more in-depth information about our company (please review it carefully).
5. Once you decide an Average Joe's Gym Franchise is for you. You will sign our binder agreement and, put down a non-refundable deposit to secure a territory you have chosen.
Breakdown of payments that are to be paid in the following manner:
$3000 (to secure territory you desire after Corporate approval of location you have chosen, that we have found suitable) + after signing Franchise Agreement you will pay remaining balance of $22,000 = Total Amount Paid for Franchise comes to $25,000
6. You will then be scheduled for training where you will begin to learn the model of success!
7. An AJG representative will help you learn the process of starting your own business and begin our pre-opening plan.
What To Expect From Training?
Average Joe's Corporate will provide you with 2 days of intense initial corporate training (you will be responsible for traveling expenses). This training is completely outlined in our UFOC you will receive upon approval, after filling out our online pre-qualification application. Our pre-opening plan gives effective methods to let the public know you will be opening soon. You will learn everything you need from opening your facility to marketing and advertising your gym, to effective sales tactics needed to build membership. You will also be taught file and record keeping on how to organize and run your business and much more.
Media Blitz
Local effective marketing targets: newspaper, radio, television media contacts for new clubs. New club owners will be given local media contacts for follow up purposes.
As a Franchisee, you will be advised with:
• continuous marketing tools and ongoing support
• You will receive One on One support pertaining to new developments and techniques from our Corporate Headquarters.
• You will receive current sales and promotions, advertising, artwork, marketing procedures, administrative support with ongoing ideas to help you build membership, promote and generate sales for your club.
